The Texas Adaptive Sports and Recreation, a 501c non-profit, is hosting its NINTH annual OPEN, INCLUSIVE Martial Arts tournament for competitors with physical challenges, special needs, and disabilities!  All special needs / physically challenged competitors from any system or style are welcome and invited to compete!

Hosted by TxASR and The One World Martial Arts Federation, the tournament will be a day of celebration and sportsmanship for all competitors.

There will be competitions in Empty Hand KATA / FORMS

Trophies will be awarded to all participants.  However, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be different from participant trophies. Why do we award different trophies?  Because effort deserves reward, but excellence deserves recognition!  We can not teach good sportsmanship and good citizenship without it.

This is a unique INCLUSIVE tournament format.  ALL competitors have an equal chance at winning, placing, or coming down the line.

We are inviting all ages from white belts up to register for the tournament.

CATERED DINNER FROM 6:30 – 8 PM

We are extremely excited to host our friends from multiple schools and programs in Texas

The tournament will run from 11:30am to 5pm. Additionally, we will have a catered dinner afterward for students and families at the Rec Center!

Pricing is $50 to Compete (competitors receive a free T-shirt and Patch!) OR $15 to Attend (children 5 yrs and under are free).

That price lasts until 10/19, then goes up to $60 and $20.

This is our Primary Fundraiser for the year and all proceeds are shared between the member schools of Tx Adaptive Sports and Rec, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. These monies assist our schools in purchasing regular and specialized equipment as well as funding scholarships for students who need a little extra help.
